On Friday, we’ll be hosting a Free BBQ Bash for parents, VBS participants, and volunteers. It starts at 11:30 with our closing session. See details and RSVP by Tuesday for the BBQ Bash.
on July 14 at 10:00 am. Join us as we hear from the kids and leaders about some of the amazing stories and memories from the week, and worship together. We will have a short message that recaps what the kids learned throughout the week. It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the fun and growth we've experienced and to connect with other VBS families. All are welcome :)
We’ve got a team of around 50 amazing volunteers that can’t wait to make this a fun, memorable week! Your child has been placed in one of nine teams (three JK-SK teams, six Grade 1-6 teams) with roughly 10 other children close to their age that they’ll journey with throughout the week. We think your child will love the combo of large group times (singing, games) and activity stations (crafts, snack, games, small group) that they will rotate through! Here's the playlist if you'd like to get a head start on learning them :)
Each day, to help with traffic control, enter Rhema’s property via Television Road or Parkhill entrance, and exit via Parkhill Road. Parents should park in the lot and walk with their children to the Check-in tables (lines organized by last name) to sign in and receive their label (including team info). Once they receive their label, children will be led over by volunteers to their small group team area (outside unless it’s raining).
Parents should park and go to the Check-out tables, where volunteers will then bring your child to meet you. Children will only be checked out to guardians listed in the registration form as guardians or emergency contacts. If someone else will be picking up your child, please let the check-in/out volunteers know at drop-off. You will be asked to sign a form granting that person permission.
A small bag or backpack
A water bottle (water refill stations available)
A hat and sunscreen
Each day, we’re encouraging kids to make a difference in our city. We will be sharing the exciting details on Monday!
On Thursday, we are planning some water activities and although kids will most likely not be getting soaked your child may want to bring along a towel. Older kids are welcome to bring their bathing suit or a change of clothes if they wish.
Our goal is to have the best week possible. In the spirit of keeping others in mind, if your child is unwell, please keep them home.
VBS will run rain or shine. We’ll shift activity stations indoors if necessary.
